This Fall, we are starting the semester with Survival 101: Take Root an event for incoming Freshmen. It’s happening on Thursday night, August 25th. The goal will be to have fun starting new relationships that will help new students develop and grow spiritually into who God has called them to be. This is why we chose Paul’s charge to the church of Colossae to be established in faith, firmly rooted, and built up in Christ (Col. 2:6-7). We want Freshmen to do more than just survive their first year at Southern Miss. We want them to be firmly rooted in the truth of scripture, ready to withstand the challenges of transition, and to experience spiritual growth and maturity. Sign up to come below!
Everyone is invited to come help feed a meal at the Fieldhouse TONIGHT from 5 – 7 pm. Once we are done we will come back to the BSU for pizza and some hang out time for our last 7:01 of the school year. The schedule of the night is:
- Meet at 5:00 at the BSU Center to go to the Fieldhouse (5712 Hwy 49 South)
- Serve the meal between 6:00-7:00 pm at the Fieldhouse. We will also have a devotion (Rebekah Stewart) & music (Tyler Keys)
- Return to the BSU Center immediately following the meal for our End of the Year BSU Party! We’ll have pizza & cookies while we have a time to reflect on all God has done this past year. It will be a great time to close out the end of the year at BSU!
